Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-cath care, including TR band management, to support safe patient recovery
• Administer and titrate medications precisely while monitoring patient responses
• Deliver advanced pulmonary treatments to patients who need respiratory support
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech to ensure continuity and clear communication
• Perform patient education using AIDET and medication teaching to improve outcomes and satisfaction
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and solve problems
• Maintain patient safety and appropriate patient ratios while working efficiently in a 12-bed PCU

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (state of practice required)
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience (PCU/step-down or similar preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with post-cath care including TR band management strongly preferred
• Comfort with medication titration and advanced pulmonary treatments
• Familiarity with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
• Positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and strong problem-solving skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with GE cardiac monitors and cardiac telemetry monitoring
• Experience using Nova glucometers and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Strong patient communication skills, including AIDET and use of communication boards
• Medication teaching skills and patient education techniques
• Ability to float and adapt in rotation with team members and other travelers
• Competence in charting and electronic health record workflows (Meditech)
