Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the assigned shift
• Assess and monitor patient condition, reporting changes promptly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document patient care and clinical observations clearly in the chart/EHR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Prioritize patient safety and infection control practices throughout the shift

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous med-surgical/telemetry or relevant inpatient nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage a typical med-surg patient load
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring

• IV therapy basics and wound care fundamentals
• Electronic health record (EHR) charting
• Patient education and discharge planning
• Infection control and safety protocols
