Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for individuals served in the MST specialty
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and referrals
• Offer trauma-informed support and education to patients and families
• Respond promptly and effectively to acute changes and emergencies
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic and paper documentation
• Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California or eligibility to obtain one
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications preferred
• Experience working as an RN in clinical settings; MST experience or training is a plus
• Comfort with trauma-informed care principles and sensitive patient interactions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first approach
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN required or equivalent). BSN preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
• Trauma-informed care practices and patient-centered communication
• Basic emergency response and de-escalation techniques
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and community resources
