Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver direct technical nursing care to residents using the nursing process under RN supervision
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when assigned, coordinating the nursing team for safe resident care
• Assess resident conditions, implement care plans, and document clinical findings accurately
• Prioritize and plan daily nursing tasks to ensure continuity of care during night hours
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Use facility electronic systems to chart, review orders, and manage medications

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license (required)
• Current CPR certification (required)
• Graduate of an approved LVN program with an associate degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of LVN experience (Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred)
• Able to assume charge nurse role in an SNF when needed
• Proficient computer skills and strong written/verbal communication
• Good clinical judgment, planning and prioritization skills, and flexibility to work nights

Education

• Graduate from an approved LVN program (Associates or equivalent)

• Nursing process and delivery of nursing care
• Clinical judgment and critical thinking in acute and long-term care settings
• Planning, prioritization, and time management
• Clear written and verbal communication with residents and team members
• Computer proficiency for electronic charting and documentation
