Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Various days (Per Diem), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC (overnight)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to patients, assisting with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Assist with safe transfers and positioning, using proper body mechanics and equipment
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Support mealtime and hygiene routines, promoting dignity and independence
Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in New Mexico
Comfortable working overnight shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings as requested
CPR/BLS certification preferred when available

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living (ADL) support
Basic vital sign monitoring and observation skills
Familiarity with documentation practices and electronic or paper charting
Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
Compassionate bedside manner and strong teamwork
