Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), nights, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, ensuring dignity and comfort
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
Maintain accurate documentation and resident charts with attention to detail
Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Authorization to work in New Mexico and ability to obtain any required state registry entry
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfort working night shifts and on a per diem/as-needed basis
Clear background check and TB screening as required by facility policy
Strong communication skills and a positive, patient-focused attitude

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completed accredited CNA program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Proficiency in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
Charting and documentation skills in a clinical setting
Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
