Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Assist nursing team with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition promptly
• Document care and observations accurately in patient records
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to reduce risk of injury
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control policies

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) or proof of eligibility to obtain certification
• Active/state-appropriate CNA licensure as required by Georgia regulations
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with lifting/transferring patients and using assistive devices
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; successful completion of an accredited CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Infection control principles and safe handling techniques
• Electronic or paper charting fundamentals and accurate documentation
• Teamwork, clear communication, and time management on busy units
