Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour acute care shifts (exact start/end times and specific days to be confirmed with facility; schedule may include day or night rotations as needed)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $27 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care in an acute care setting
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor patient condition and report changes to the nursing team promptly
Support safe transfers and fall-prevention interventions
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver high-quality care
Document care accurately in the patient chart and follow facility policies

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (current and in good standing)
Previous acute care experience preferred
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required immunizations/tuberculosis screening
Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Availability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to facility scheduling needs

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical bedside skills for acute care patients
Vital signs, patient hygiene, and mobility assistance
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Basic charting and documentation practices
Teamwork, time management, and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
Cultural sensitivity and respect for patients and families
