Roles & Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs accurately to support efficient clinic flow
• Perform 12-lead EKG/ECG and pulse oximetry per clinic protocols
• Prepare patients for exams and document history, medications, and allergies
• Chart patient encounters and clinical data using EPIC with attention to detail
• Make follow-up phone calls to patients to support continuity of care
• Assist clinicians by anticipating needs and ensuring exam rooms are ready
• Float within your certified skillset to support the facility during staffing needs
• Adhere to clinic policies and support observed holiday coverage as needed

Qualifications

• MA-C required (MA-R not accepted for this role)
• BLS certification required
• Previous healthcare experience and familiarity with healthcare terminology required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Reliable personal transportation required (local candidates preferred; 50-mile rule applies)
• First-timers accepted — if you meet the core requirements and are eager to learn, apply
• Cardiology or adult outpatient clinic experience preferred but not mandatory

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with EPIC electronic health record systems
• Skilled in obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for exams
• Competent performing 12-lead EKG/ECG and pulse oximetry
• Strong patient communication for rooming and follow-up phone calls
• Accurate documentation of history, medications, and allergies
• Ability to float within clinical scope and support multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable working in an adult outpatient cardiology clinic environment
