Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage ventilator settings and provide high-level ventilator support for ED and inpatient patients
• Deliver BiPAP and CPAP therapy with expertise and clinical judgment
• Respond to emergency respiratory needs and coordinate safe transport to tertiary care when needed
• Assess patients, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education on respiratory care and device use
• Maintain equipment, adhere to infection control practices, and support quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years current acute care respiratory therapy experience (required)
• Active NBRC credential (required)
• Active American Heart Association BLS (AHA) (required)
• NH RCP Licensure required; temporary NH RCP accepted but must be applied for at time of offer (7-14 day turnaround)
• Proven proficiency with ventilator management, HHN, BiPAP and CPAP (required)
• Previous travel experience highly preferred
• Submission requirements: respiratory therapist skills checklist (document), supervisory signed reference from last year (document), license verification (document), and permanent address included in submission
• RTO (requested time off) must be included with submission

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ventilator management and weaning skills
• Competence with noninvasive ventilation: BiPAP and CPAP
• Acute care, ED and inpatient respiratory assessment
• Patient transport coordination to tertiary care centers
• Accurate clinical documentation and infection control practices
• Ability to work effectively in a typical 1:5–1:6 therapist/patient ratio environment
