Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care on the Medical-Surgical unit
Assess patients, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes promptly
Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
Document patient care, progress, and outcomes in the medical record
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

Current, active RN license in Alabama or eligible to obtain one
Experience in Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or as required by facility
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work well with interdisciplinary teams

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Medical-Surgical nursing principles and best practices
Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
Safe medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Electronic medical record documentation
Infection control and patient safety practices
