Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and toileting while preserving dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and changes in patient condition
• Communicate observations clearly and promptly to RN/LPN staff and document accurately
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Maintain a clean, organized environment and follow infection control policies
• Collaborate with the care team to support individualized care plans and positive outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Valid state-required documentation and ability to work in New Mexico
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfort and experience working overnight shifts
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication, compassion, and teamwork skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and ADLs
• Vital signs monitoring and basic clinical observation
• Infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Clear, timely documentation and electronic charting basics
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes to nursing staff
• Strong interpersonal skills and culturally sensitive care
