Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (typical blocks: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM); exact schedule assigned by facility

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based critical care to adult ICU patients
Assess and monitor patients continuously, interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data
Administer medications, IV therapies, and titrate drips safely and accurately
Manage ventilators and other advanced life support equipment in collaboration with respiratory therapy
Communicate effectively with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN licensure
ICU experience and comfort working 12-hour shifts
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment
Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Cardiac rhythm recognition and emergency response
Ventilator management fundamentals
IV therapy, central line care, and medication administration
Effective team communication and bedside collaboration
Accurate clinical documentation and charting
