Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Day shift) — PRN coverage only; providers must be available a minimum of 2 weeks per month

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality radiation oncology care using IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT and conventional radiotherapy
• Perform and oversee stereotactic treatments including SRS, SBRT and fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy
• Evaluate and manage outpatient and occasional inpatient radiation oncology patients (avg ~20 outpatients/day)
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and images, and prescribe evidence-based radiation therapy plans
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Mosaiq and Epic to ensure continuity and quality
• Collaborate closely with the on-site APP, permanent physicians and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Provide clear communication to patients and families, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered care

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology (preferred)
• Active medical license in Ohio or ability to obtain licensure in Ohio in a timely manner
• Proven ability to prescribe and manage radiation therapy treatments and related orders/images
• Proficiency with Mosaiq and Epic (electronic documentation and treatment workflow experience)
• Comfort and experience delivering SRS/SBRT, IMRT and IGRT treatments
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to integrate with existing practice workflows
• Willingness to complete credentialing (estimated 90–120 days) and commit to minimum PRN blocks

Education

• MD or DO (Radiation Oncology residency completed)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in External Beam Radiation techniques (IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT)
• Experience with stereotactic techniques: SRS and SBRT
• Familiarity with Mosaiq and Epic electronic medical records
• Skilled in prescribing, ordering diagnostic tests and interpreting imaging for treatment planning
• Ability to manage outpatient clinic flow and occasional inpatient consults
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient communication
• Comfort working in a community cancer center setting and collaborating with APPs
