Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, day shift (days vary based on facility needs)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist patients with mobility, transfers, dressing, grooming, and bathing
Take and record vital signs, reporting any concerns to the nursing team
Observe and document changes in patient condition accurately and promptly
Support a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support care plans
Help with meal assistance and basic feeding support while respecting patient dignity

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active authorization to work in New Mexico and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the facility
Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong communication and teamwork skills
Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with certification are welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of patient care techniques and infection prevention
Competence in assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
Basic charting and documentation skills, attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
