Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations accurately and compassionately
• Position patients correctly and operate radiographic equipment safely
• Produce high-quality images and ensure proper documentation for radiologists
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain a safe imaging environment
• Assist with patient preparation and provide clear, calming instructions
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and clinical staff to support patient care
• Maintain equipment, restock supplies, and report any maintenance needs
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through professionalism and empathy

Qualifications

• State radiologic technologist license (California CRT) or eligibility to obtain one
• ARRT certification preferred
• Prior experience in diagnostic radiography preferred, especially with 10-hour shift environments
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
• Comfort working occasional weekends and adapting to rotating schedules
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Education

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in radiographic positioning and exposure techniques
• Familiarity with PACS/RIS and digital imaging workflows
• Knowledge of radiation safety principles and infection control
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload across a busy shift
• Good patient-handling skills and ability to work with diverse populations
