Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in an acute care setting
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform focused assessments and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
• Document care thoroughly in the patient record and maintain accurate charts
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Support patient and family education with compassion and clear communication
• Participate in unit-based safety and quality initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — ability to practice in Georgia required or obtain prior to start
• Previous acute care experience preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Strong clinical judgment, good communication skills, and professionalism
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit scheduling needs

Education

• Completed LPN/Vocational Nursing program or equivalent diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of acute care nursing principles and procedures
• Medication administration and basic wound care competency
• Patient assessment skills and recognition of patient deterioration
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Teamwork, time management, and effective verbal/written communication
