Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients using advanced clinical judgment
• Provide goal-directed, high-quality nursing care in the ICU setting
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to create and execute patient-centered plans
• Administer medications and titrate infusions safely and accurately
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced monitoring and life support equipment
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or compact RN license eligible for practice
• Critical care nursing experience preferred; prior ICU experience is a strong plus
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS required or willingness to obtain per facility policy
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented ICU environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Ventilator management and familiarity with mechanical ventilation
• Advanced cardiac life support principles and emergency response
• Medication administration and IV infusion management
• Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
