Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem - days vary, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 38

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility in a respectful way
Support safe transfers and positioning, maintaining dignity and comfort
Document care activities and observations accurately and timely
Collaborate with the care team to ensure individualized resident care plans are followed

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
State-required nursing assistant registration or licensure for New Mexico
Able to pass background checks and required health screenings
Basic caregiving experience preferred but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and infection control
Comfort with safe patient handling and mobility assistance
Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
