Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting to preserve dignity and independence
• Provide compassionate direct patient care and emotional support to enhance resident well-being
• Perform safe transfers and mobility assistance while following facility protocols
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to the Director of Nursing and follow the chain of command
• Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and high-quality resident care
• Support social and recreational activities to promote resident engagement and quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Experience or comfort working in long-term care, assisted living, or nursing home settings preferred
• Ability to follow established chain of command and report to the Director of Nursing
• Compassionate communication skills and the ability to provide emotional support to residents
• Basic documentation skills and the ability to follow care plans

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and resident assistance techniques
• Experience with long-term care resident needs and nursing home workflows
• Ability to provide direct patient care with attention to safety and dignity
• Good observational skills for reporting clinical and behavioral changes
• Teamwork and the ability to follow directions from nursing leadership
