Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, grooming, and feeding
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to promote independence
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and patient observations
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Deliver respectful, patient-centered care that preserves dignity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts, per diem schedule
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and ADL assistance
• Safe body mechanics and transfer techniques
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Accurate charting and time management
• Compassionate bedside manner and cultural sensitivity

This per diem role is based in Rio Rancho, just northwest of Albuquerque.
