Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the care team
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Monitor patient status and respond to changes with timely interventions
Document assessments, interventions and patient responses clearly and thoroughly
Communicate effectively with patients, families and interdisciplinary teams to support positive outcomes

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama (or compact RN eligible)
Experience or comfort working in Medical-Surgical nursing (Med/Surg)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS preferred or available
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and provide dependable, patient-centered care
Strong clinical judgment, communication skills and teamwork mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg assessment and patient monitoring skills
Medication administration and documentation proficiency
Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
Ability to prioritize, multitask and respond in fast-paced situations
Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education
Collaborative approach to care with nursing and interdisciplinary teams
