Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a Med/Surg unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
• Prioritize and manage multiple patients while maintaining attention to detail
• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate charting

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain one quickly)
• Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing (Med/Surg) — practical competence matters
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; other certifications a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and adapt to unit staffing needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment, monitoring, and medication administration
• Familiarity with bedside documentation and electronic medical record systems
• Skilled at IV therapy, wound care, and post-operative care typical of Med/Surg units
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with patients, families, and staff
• Strong time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
