Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to patients, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and status changes in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and the care team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge processes to ensure smooth transitions
• Educate patients and families about care plans and basic self-care techniques
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (Licensed Practical Nurse) - ability to hold or obtain Georgia licensure preferred
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program (diploma or certificate)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts and adapting to unit staffing needs
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental nursing assessments and clinical judgment
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient safety, infection control, and standard precautions
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and timely charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospital environment
