Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate basic patient care and support daily living activities
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support safe patient transfers and positioning with proper techniques
Communicate clearly with nurses and the healthcare team about patient needs
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients
Document care and observations in the patient record in a timely manner
Respect patient dignity, privacy, and cultural preferences at all times

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
Must meet state certification requirements for Georgia
Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and basic clinical tasks
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Prior experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred
Basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Infection control and standard precautions
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Patient observation and reporting skills
Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
