Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and stabilize patients presenting to the Emergency Department with skill and compassion
• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care, including medication administration, monitoring, and documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to execute timely treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up to support recovery
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safety-first mindset

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (Alabama) or appropriate compact-state license
• Experience or strong interest in Emergency Department/ER nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour clinical shifts and responding to acute situations
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to pass required facility credentialing and background checks

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• IV therapy, medication administration, and ACLS-level interventions
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-family education abilities
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices
