Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with unit standards
• Assess patients thoroughly and develop timely nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
• Monitor patient status and escalate changes in condition promptly
• Contribute to quality improvement and maintain a safe care environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or Compact RN licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Previous acute care nursing experience preferred (clinical area experience a plus)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and documentation
• Comfortable with IV therapy and basic acute-care procedures
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family education and team collaboration
