Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to geriatric residents during assigned shifts
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents' comfort and safety
• Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and team members
• Assist with documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification or equivalent
• Completion of an approved GNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
• Up-to-date immunizations as required by facility policy
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, resident positioning, and hygiene care
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Familiarity with infection control and resident safety protocols
• Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork
• Basic charting and documentation skills
