Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other basic clinical observations
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
• Follow care plans and document interventions accurately and timely
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control protocols
• Support resident dignity and independence while delivering attentive care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (state approved)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Current immunizations and TB test per facility guidelines
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to work a 12-hour day shift when scheduled

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient hygiene
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Solid understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with clinical staff
• Ability to document clearly and follow care plans
• Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
