Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers while using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Follow infection control protocols to protect patients and colleagues
• Communicate empathetically with residents, families, and the care team
• Help create a comfortable, respectful environment for all residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Valid CNA certification in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain state certification
• Basic CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an approved CNA training program
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic clinical skills including vital signs and observation
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Clear communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary setting
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy care environment
