Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, eating and toileting with dignity and compassion
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Take and record basic vital signs and patient observations accurately
• Keep accurate, timely documentation and contribute to care plans
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Provide emotional support and build rapport with patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Completion of a state-approved CNA program or equivalent training
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable transportation and flexibility for per-diem scheduling

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
• Time management and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
