Shift Type: Rotating 12.5-hour shifts (day and night coverage; schedule varies)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients
Continuously assess and monitor patients, responding promptly to changes
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute care plans
Document patient status and interventions clearly in the medical record
Support families with clear communication and empathy during stressful times
Participate in unit initiatives to improve patient outcomes and safety

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to practice in Hawaii required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
Experience in ICU or critical care settings preferred
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
Comfortable with ventilator management and advanced monitoring
Ability to work rotating 12.5-hour shifts and collaborate in a fast-paced team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and intervention
Ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
Medication administration and IV therapy expertise
Accurate clinical documentation and EHR proficiency
Clear communication and teamwork under pressure
Infection control and patient safety practices
