Location: Rio Rancho, New Mexico
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Days not specified, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Night (overnight)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Take and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
- Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics
- Document care accurately and communicate observations to nursing staff
- Follow infection control, safety protocols, and care plans
- Build rapport with patients and families to support emotional needs
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or equivalent) — New Mexico certification preferred
- Active BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Previous CNA experience preferred; new grads with certification welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing principles and patient care routines
- Skill in taking vital signs and monitoring patient status
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Understanding of infection control and HIPAA privacy practices
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
