Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, prioritizing patient dignity and comfort
• Support infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through kind communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Active authorization to work in New Mexico (state-specific CNA registration recommended)
• Comfortable with longer day shifts and a flexible per diem schedule
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset
• Preferred: previous experience in long-term care or similar clinical setting

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and ADL assistance
• Vital signs measurement and accurate documentation
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance practices
• Infection prevention and hygiene standards
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Friendly bedside manner and effective communication with patients and families
