Shift Type: 4-10 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM or 5-8 hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, with 10-15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI/Stroke coverage.

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and stent placement procedures
• Monitor patient vitals and hemodynamic status throughout procedures
• Administer medications and sedation as ordered
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields and equipment
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education and care to patients
• Respond to STEMI and stroke alerts as part of the on-call team
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and DCI/BVP certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Cath Lab experience preferred
• Ability to scrub, circulate, and monitor in the Cath Lab
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection control
• Familiarity with Cath Lab equipment and supplies
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly
