Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM NOC, every other weekend and holiday (EOWEOH)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure safe outcomes
Assist with emergency deliveries and C-sections as part of a collaborative team
Educate families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn health
Administer medications and manage pain relief options per physician orders

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications required
At least 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and interventions
Skilled in sterile techniques and infection control
Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
