Pharmacist - 3rd Shift

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Contract Type: Perm

Shift Type: Night shift (3rd shift), 12-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off rotation, start day either Wednesday or Thursday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee pharmacy technician staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient workflow
Verify medication orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and safety
Perform clinical documentation and medication management in accordance with policies
Answer clinical questions from nurses and providers, providing expert pharmaceutical care
Ensure safe and effective pharmaceutical care for pediatric and adult patients across the hospital

Qualifications

Must have hospital pharmacy experience and experience overseeing the work of technicians
Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in North Carolina required
Preferred: Emergency Department experience, Cerner and Vigilanz experience
Preferred: 3rd shift experience and ACLS certification
Team player with a positive attitude, adaptable, and able to multitask in a high-stress environment

Knowledge & Skills

Hospital pharmacy operations and medication management
Leadership and supervisory skills for technician oversight
Experience with Cerner and Vigilanz EMR systems
Emergency department pharmaceutical care
ACLS certification (preferred)
Comfortable working 3rd shift and 7 on/7 off rotation
