Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday with on-call and every other weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Oversee the operating room environment to ensure sterile conditions and patient safety
Circulate during surgical procedures, assisting surgeons and the surgical team as needed
Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly
Coordinate with preoperative and postoperative staff for seamless patient care
Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately in EPIC EMR
Take on-call shifts and work every other weekend as required

Qualifications

Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
Orthopedic and ENT surgical experience required
EPIC EMR experience required
Ability to take call and work flexible schedules
CNOR certification preferred
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of operating room protocols and sterile techniques
Skilled in circulating nurse duties and intraoperative patient monitoring
Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Strong communication and teamwork abilities in high-pressure environments
Expertise in trauma and emergency surgical procedures
