Medical Laboratory Scientist - Generalist

Location: Lakewood, Colorado

Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays, 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56.1 - $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform a full range of laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and blood bank
Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment including Abbott Alinity, Immucor ECHO, Sysmex analyzers
Utilize LIS systems and EPIC Beaker EMR for test ordering and result reporting
Ensure accuracy and compliance with quality control protocols
Collaborate with healthcare team to provide timely diagnostic information
Participate in weekend and holiday rotation to maintain 24/7 lab coverage

Qualifications

MLS (ASCP) or AMT certification preferred
BLS certification required
Must be a generalist comfortable working in hematology, chem, coag, and blood bank
Minimum 0 years of experience; new graduates welcome to apply

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and blood bank testing
Experience with LIS systems and EPIC Beaker EMR
Familiarity with Abbott Alinity, Immucor ECHO, Sysmex analyzers
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
