Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to residents and families
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete assigned charting in a timely manner
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed at all times
• Respond calmly and effectively in urgent situations and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — New Mexico certification preferred or eligible
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings/vaccinations
• Reliable transportation and availability for evening/overnight shifts
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads who are certified are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and assistance with ADLs
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to follow care plans and report changes in condition
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
