Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care and assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs and promptly report any changes to the nursing team
• Support patient mobility and safe transfers while promoting dignity and independence
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with nurses and care partners
• Follow infection control practices and facility protocols to keep patients safe
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (New Mexico certification preferred or eligibility to obtain)
• CPR/BLS certification (required or must obtain upon hire)
• Demonstrated compassion, strong communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Previous experience as a CNA is a plus but new grads with strong passion to care are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care, ADLs, and safe patient handling
• Able to accurately take and document vital signs
• Familiar with infection control standards and basic wound care observation
• Strong observational skills and ability to escalate clinical changes
• Good time management, teamwork, and clear communication with patients and staff
