Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting while preserving patient dignity
• Measure and report vital signs and changes in patient condition to the nursing team
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers using proper techniques
• Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control policies
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families to enhance patient experience

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior CNA experience preferred; new grads with strong skills are welcome
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
• Proficient with taking and reporting vital signs
• Safe transfer and mobility technique familiarity
• Understanding of infection control and safety procedures
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong observation skills
• Ability to document care accurately and communicate with the nursing team
