Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative care for pre-op, OR, and PACU patients
• Serve as the OR circulator, managing intraoperative patient care and safety
• Provide on-call PACU coverage for pediatric and adult patients as needed
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical services staff to ensure smooth case flow
• Perform thorough patient assessments and handoffs to support continuity of care
• Maintain sterile technique and adherence to surgical protocols
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the patient record
• Support a positive surgical experience by communicating clearly with patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Montana or a compact state
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience as an OR circulator and providing PACU care, including pediatrics
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
• Comfort with rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities
• Strong patient assessment and perioperative nursing skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing principles including pre-op, intra-op, and PACU care
• Pediatric and adult post-anesthesia care (PACU) knowledge
• OR circulation duties and sterile field management
• Ability to perform rapid, accurate patient assessments
• Effective teamwork and communication in surgical services
• Adaptability to rotating schedules and on-call demands
