Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and fall prevention, using proper body mechanics
• Help maintain clean, safe patient environments and adhere to infection control practices
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff
• Document care accurately and timely in the patient's record
• Collaborate with nurses and care staff to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active or eligible for New Mexico CNA authorization/license
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or clinical settings is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed accredited CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety practices
• Good time management and prioritization on busy shifts
• Clear, respectful communication with patients and care teams
• Basic charting and documentation skills
