Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered labor and delivery nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum and immediate postpartum patients
• Circulate and assist in C-sections and operative deliveries when needed, ensuring sterile technique and smooth OR flow
• Manage high-acuity patients, including administration and titration of IV drips such as magnesium
• Perform assessments, document care in Meditech, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Support patient experience by educating families, advocating for patient needs, and delivering compassionate care
• Float within the women's and children's service line as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (state-appropriate) and active in good standing
• Minimum clinical experience in Labor & Delivery (unit prefers experienced L&D nurses)
• Current BLS and NRP required; ACLS required or strongly preferred
• Experience circulating/scrubbing in OR and assisting with C-sections is highly desirable
• Comfort with high-acuity care, IV therapy, epidurals/spinals, cerclage and version procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong labor & delivery clinical judgment and fetal assessment knowledge
• Skilled in IV therapy, magnesium drip management and high-acuity interventions
• Experience in OR roles (scrub/ circulating) and assisting with C-sections
• Proficient documentation in Meditech and clear electronic communication
• Ability to float across women's & children's service lines and adapt to varied patient populations
• Teamwork, patient education, and patient advocacy skills
