Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid assessment and triage, prioritizing care in a fast-paced ED
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate patient care
• Use critical thinking to respond to acute changes and escalate when needed
• Support unit throughput by facilitating admissions, discharges, and transfers
• Contribute to a positive team culture and assist with onboarding or mentoring colleagues

Qualifications

• Current Washington State nursing license or multistate nursing license
• Nursys verification of demographics
• Approved 6-hour suicide prevention training
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC and NIHSS certifications
• Experience working in an Emergency Department and with night shifts
• Full availability for scheduling and willingness to pick up extra shifts as needed

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Washington State or multistate

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department nursing skills and acute patient assessment
• Triage, rapid decision-making, and critical thinking under pressure
• Strong teamwork and clear communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with Meditech is a plus
• Patient safety, documentation accuracy, and infection control practices
