Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of the OT to help patients regain independence
• Implement individualized treatment plans and document progress clearly and timely
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home safety, and functional independence
• Use outcome measures to track progress and modify treatment as needed
• Maintain professional standards, comply with facility policies, and support a positive work environment

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential (required)
• Current Montana state licensure or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working day shifts on a contract travel assignment
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Previous experience as a COTA preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA/COTA) program (Associate degree or diploma)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in occupational therapy treatment techniques and therapeutic activities
• Proficient with patient assessments and implementing treatment plans
• Ability to document in electronic health records and follow facility protocols
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and team collaboration
• Ability to adapt interventions for a variety of diagnoses and ages
