Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as scheduled), nights, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe mobility, transfers, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
Support personal hygiene needs including bathing, dressing, and toileting with dignity
Document care accurately and communicate shift-to-shift details clearly
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver consistent care
Maintain infection control practices and a clean, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the applicable state
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Comfortable working overnight shifts and flexible per diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus

Education

CNA certification (required)
High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and activities of daily living (ADL) support
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Infection control and safe body mechanics for transfers
Clear documentation and effective communication with the care team
Compassionate, patient-centered approach and empathy for residents
