Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and assist with activities of daily living
• Support safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Monitor residents and report changes in condition to the nursing team promptly
• Document care accurately and timely to maintain clear patient records
• Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Comfortable with physical aspects of caregiving and safe patient handling
• Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork skills
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and ADLs
• Familiarity with infection control and sanitation practices
• Basic medical terminology and vital sign monitoring
• Safe patient lifting and transfer techniques
• Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks
• Comfortable using electronic charting or willingness to learn
