Location: Baltimore, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per Diem (variable days), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, helping them maintain dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
Take and record vital signs and other routine measurements accurately
Help create a calm, respectful environment that promotes independence and quality of life
Document care activities clearly and timely in the resident record

Qualifications

GNA certification (required)
Previous experience working with elderly or long-term care residents preferred
Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with residents and the care team
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Clear background check and required facility screenings

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and age-related needs
Basic clinical skills: vital signs, feeding assistance, hygiene support
Safe transfer and ambulation techniques
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with residents and families
Reliable documentation and time-management habits
Comfort working in a team-oriented long-term care setting
